Alison J. Clarke is founding director of the Papanek Foundation and chair of design history and theory at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. A historian and trained social anthropologist, she has published widely in the area of design and material culture, her most recent book project Victor Papanek: Design for the Real World (MIT Press, forthcoming).

Dr. Leah Armstrong

Leah Armstrong is Head of Archive at the Papanek Foundation, University of Applied Arts Vienna. She previously held research and teaching positions at the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Glasgow School of Art and University of Brighton. Her research has been published in international journals, and she is co-editor ofFashioning Professionals: Representation and Identity at Work in the Creative Industries,(Bloomsbury 2018).  Dr. Armstrong is currently on leave.
